Scuba Diving In The Maldives

Scuba diving in the Maldives is a fantastic experience, besides the islands of the Maldives being a gorgeous place to visit throughout the year because of its warm climate, you will find another world underwater.

The Maldives has a number of dive sites which are said to be the best in the world, having the clearest water all around the islands especially with the incoming tides, you could expect the visibility to be more than 50 meters, and so this is one of the reasons why people keep coming back to dive. The depths inside the Islands are usually around 40 to 50 meters, and the bottom of the sea bed is mostly sand.

If you have never been before, this is not a problem in the Maldives because most of the resorts have specialized dive schools, the instructors being multi-lingual, to instruct you on the techniques of this pleasurable pursuit, they are equipped to provide a service for beginners and experienced divers.
Many of the resorts on the Maldives have excellent house reefs which are just a short swim off the beach, and even smokeless can experience the same pleasures from the surface.

The underworld beauty of the Maldives is an absolute wonder of nature, with a profusion of psychedelic colours and an enormous variety of marine life, which has kept scuba divers spellbound for years. The Islands are surrounded by shallow water reefs which are located just below the surface and are clearly defined by the vivid contrasts in the water colour. These reefs that surround the Islands are just as abundant in their variety of coral as the marine life that live in and around them. There is a variety of fish such barracuda, tuna, snapper and even sharks who all gather at the entrances to the channels, they are attracted to this area because of the movement of the water which carries a food source with it.

One review of this amazing underwater experience says:-
Underwater Photography “Given the manifold aspects of the underwater universe of the Maldives and the splendid colours of the fish and coral, it is almost a moral obligation to pause for a while with a camera before these wonders of nature” - says Kurt Amsler, world renowned photographic journalist who has dived in the Maldives waters extensively.

Scuba diving in the Maldives, with having more than one hundred different diving spots, is an underwater paradise, and being the home to around 1350 different species of coral and fish, who would not want to experience this amazing natural environment.

Brian Sylvester Art is Now Online at the LocksandDeadbolts.com Gallery

Culebra Roja: This is a curious and intuitive underwater oil painting by Brian Sylvester , a native Florida artist from Stuart, Florida. This painting, entitled Culebra Roja, is a native Redfish in pursuit of a hand tied fishing fly. Notice the hidden abstract image that is included in the lines between the subject’s focused eyes. This is a recurring element in Brian Sylvester Art. In most all of his paintings there are obscure images and elements. The major elements are like diversions from the artist’s hidden intentions. This is heady stuff and an intellectual bonus for those that identify and understand the secondary themes in his creations. His oil paintings evolve into abstract realizations which become the primary goal of his art. To view the images and descriptions of Culebra Roja , simply go to Brian Sylvester Art.
